Terms of service
These terms govern your use of Datum. By using the service you agree to them.
The service
Datum surfaces approved Canadian construction and development projects read from public records, delivered through a dashboard, alerts, and an API. Access requires an account and, for paid tiers, a subscription.
Accounts
You are responsible for the activity under your account and for keeping your credentials secure. Provide accurate information and tell us promptly of any unauthorized use.
Acceptable use
Your use is subject to our acceptable use policy. In short: use the data for your own business, do not resell or scrape it beyond your license, and do not misuse it or the service.
Subscriptions and billing
Paid plans are billed in advance on the cadence shown at purchase, in Canadian dollars unless stated otherwise. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law. You can cancel to stop future renewals.
Data accuracy
Intellectual property
The service, its software, and its compiled data set are owned by Datum and its licensors. Your subscription grants a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service and its output for your internal business purposes.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, Datum is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to the fees you paid in the twelve months before the claim.
Termination
You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or end access for breach of these terms or the acceptable use policy.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Please confirm the operating entity and governing province before public launch.
